14 April 2008 - For the second year running, the ‘Great Place to Work’ Institute has nominated Delft-based ICT service provider HintTech for the ‘Best Employer’ award. The institute has previously presented this award for good employership to companies such as Microsoft, Randstad and Rabobank.
The selection for the ‘Great Place to Work’ award is based on interviews with employees, a cultural audit, and facts such as salaries, part-time opportunities and the variety of the work. In order to compete for the prize, the nominees must serve as an example for other employers and have a culture which is based on trust, pride and enjoyment. The winner will be announced tomorrow.
Recent research has shown that factors such as salaries and leased cars are no longer the deciding factors in ICT staff’s choice of an employer. Factors such as development possibilities and working on a reputable product have become at least as important. And it is in precisely this area that HintTech stands out.
HintTech attaches great importance to its staff, as the high level of employee satisfaction shows. The company is appreciated by its people, because of the interesting projects and also because of the culture. HintTech encourages individual responsibility, independence and the development of skills and knowledge in their subject area. Employees can also continue their activities in one of the company’s foreign offices, for either a longer or shorter period.
“HintTech is a flat organisation”, says Patrick Dekker, Chief Operations Officer of HintTech. “Each employee is an important link in the company’s success. We want our staff to feel happy and we want their work to challenge them sufficiently. Because of this, within the frameworks that have been defined, a lot is possible at HintTech. This has a positive effect on the pleasant atmosphere which predominates there. A nomination for this prize, for the second time in a row, is a big encouragement to us to continue our present policy and cherish our culture.”
HintTech currently employs 113 staff and has offices in Delft, San Francisco and Novi Sad. The company is growing fast, both in the Netherlands and abroad.
HintTech is a specialist in the area of e-business technology (.Net™, Java™ platform, Tridion) and IT projects. The company was founded in 1997 and employs innovative and proven technologies and methodologies to develop high quality customised solutions for its clients. HintTech is both a consulting and an executive partner for Tridion, Microsoft, Sun J2EE™ and IBM WebSphere. HintTech counts Shell, Nuon, Fortis, ING and KLM among its clients and has offices in the US and Serbia.
