Most open source software packages offer sufficient functionality and quality to compete favourably with commercial software. Hippo CMS

Hippo CMS is a user-friendly content management system for maintaining all your information in a structured Internet, Intranet or extranet publication. The key features of Hippo CMS are user-friendliness, interoperability and scalability.

Hippo CMS has been developed on the principle that different external sources must be able to be merged into a seamless whole. So Hippo CMS itself works with all the prevailing open standards and is used in exactly those situations where links with other data systems, tools and platforms are needed. A standard link is therefore available for many current sources (SAP, Exact, Plannon, etc.). Hippo CMS stores the data in the medium-neutral XML format. Publishing data to HTML and PDF is among the standard options, and the structured design of the templates in pipelined XSL transformations makes rapid development possible.
