HintTech history
1997, in the beginning ...
In 1997 four IT experts, who are then working for a large system integrator, decide to set up an IT contracting agency. Hint Internetworking Technologies is founded and before long the highly experienced technical specialists are carrying out interesting projects.
2001
The present CEO, Egbert Hendriks, joins the team. His knowledge and vision in the area of content management systems and internet environments will play a major role in the company's future. In 2001 the company expands rapidly. Hint Internetworking Technologies is renamed HintTech and the first IT specialists are hired. Although the economic tide has turned, HintTech still succeeds in making a profit and winning the loyalty of interesting customers. It develops the Lower Chamber of the Netherlands Parliament's intranet site, using the Tridion CMS.
2002
HintTech becomes a partner for the Tridion Content Management system. Like HintTech, the Dutch supplier of this software package for managing and publishing usually large and complex web environments is experiencing rapid growth. HintTech continues to grow steadily in line with Tridion's success. HintTech concentrates on implementing Tridion and linking it to mainly Java-based back-office systems. As a result, HintTech soon gains the reputation of a Tridion specialist.
2004
In 2004, to enable the company to truly 'say what we do and do what we say', HintTech Projects is set up: a team of experienced IT project managers and service managers who help the developers to build not only the most technically elegant solution, but also the solution which solves the customer's problem. The approach proves successful. HintTech Projects quickly grows into a fully-fledged business unit.
2005
HintTech Security is created from the team of project managers. The security specialists help organisations to define and set up the security management process. To do this, they use the GrIB method developed by HintTech, together with the associated GrIB Information Security Management System Software application.
2006
HintTech Inc. is founded in San Francisco to enable us to serve our international customers better. This foreign branch mainly concentrates on Tridion projects.
The company's turnover and its customer and employee numbers double annually in both the Netherlands and the US. In 2006 and 2007, HintTech receives the ‘Deloitte Technology Fast 50 award’ for this – a prestigious prize for the 50 fastest growing IT companies.
2007
HintTech acquires Arhel, a company based in Serbia. Arhel has been active in software development since 1998 for a number of European multimedia companies, including Lost Boys, Medialab and Grey. HintTech Serbia contributes to HintTech's international growth ambitions.

In 2007 the HintTech Development Center opens its doors. This creates a virtual team for every customer, consisting of specialists from HintTech in the Netherlands, the USA and Serbia. With the aid of the HintTech Development Center, solutions can be developed more cheaply and rapidly.
And beyond...
In the light of historical developments, HintTech has long ceased to be a typical contracting organisation. HintTech is now a project organisation. And the developments are still far from over. With the foundation of the HintTech Development Center and the opening of branches in the USA and Serbia, HintTech is on its way to a healthy and dynamic future.
